Upcoming Special Event: AIDS Network Cycles Together (ACT), the Wisconsin AIDS Ride

ACT 8 Day Volunteers
ACT 8 is the eighth annual AIDS Network Cycles Together and is scheduled for Thursday, July 29 through Sunday, August 1. Our largest fundraiser, the ACT Ride is a 4-day, 300-mile bike ride through various parts of our 13 county service area. Last year, ACT raised over $310,000 for AIDS Network while creating awareness about HIV/AIDS in our community. We are currently looking for individuals and groups who can help out as day volunteers, providing help with camp and food services, U-Pits and water stops, traffic control, registration, and at opening and closing ceremonies. If you are interested in making a difference, now is the time to ACT! For more details about ACT 8, visit the event web site at www.actride.org. If you're ready to register as a day volunteer, download the application form here!
ACT 8 Crew
If one day of volunteering isn't enough, why not consider becoming part of crew? Crew is the backbone of the ride, providing support to riders all four days of the ride so that the ride can run smoothly. There are several types of crew: food, camp services, security, gear and tent, medical, chiropractic, massage, route marking, pit stops, lunch, sweep, and traffic control. To register for crew, visit the ACT 8 web site here!
ACT 8 Rider
If you'd prefer to be on your bike for all four days, there's still time to register for the event as a rider! Last year over 130 riders completed the event, collectively raising a record amount. Visit www.actride.org for more details about what to expect on the ride, registration fees, and fundraising! It will be the ride of your life!
